The Texas State Alliance of YMCAs is an association of 22 independent YMCAs providing high-quality, affordable education in over 500 schools across the state.
The YMCA is the largest provider of child care in the U.S., as well as Texas, and serves children and families by remaining focused on always meeting the social, emotional and academic needs of our young learners so they can grow into the changemakers of tomorrow.

The goal at the YMCA is to bridge the gap in education when the school bells rings. Collectively, we serve tens of thousands of students through our community partnerships that provide highly-trained staff delivering hands-on, evidence-based curriculum. It’s been our mission for over 100 years. The Alliance of Texas YMCAs functions to advocate on behalf of local Ys to promote our three areas of focus while fostering statewide collaboration in over 200 urban, suburban, and rural communities.
Collectively, Texas YMCAs serve more than 1.4 million program and facility members and over 21,000 youth in our afterschool programs through:
